The field of cars was boosted by both World Champion Brian Weijers and Maikel Rutten both from Holland coming over to race which was really good.

Heat 1

A high standard of racing at this one with a lot of close racing top drivers for the round included 391 Jody Foster with 54 Laps, 217 Mark Whittaker with 52 Laps and Simon Farrer and Paul Dexter both with 51 Laps.

Heat 2

Jody again top the chart with 52 Laps this time with Simon Farrer with 51 Laps and Alex Wood and Lee Wearing both getting 50 Laps.

Heat 3

Jody again showing consistency with 52 Laps again and Simon Farrer and Ben Harding coming in with 51 Laps with Mark Whittaker, Paul Dexter and World Champion Brian Weijers all with 50 Laps

Heat 4

Final qualifying heats started with places still up for grabs Jody, Brian and Ben leading the standings with 52 Laps with close behind Mark Whittaker and Jonathan Goodacre 57 with 51 Laps with a few drivers going in with 50 Laps.

The drivers were then split into the top 24 and put into 4 Quarter Finals with the top 3 drivers going through.

Quarter Final 1

The first one went out with Jody Foster 391 winning with 65 Laps second was Paul Dexter with 62 Laps and Lol Watt 62 coming in third with 60 Laps

Quarter Final 2

This quarter final was really close with 46 Simon Farrer and 97 Lee Wearing coming in with 65 Laps and 144 Maikel Rutten coming third with 64 Laps just beating Nigel Williamson who came fourth with 63 Laps

Quarter Final 3

Winning this very close Quarter Final was 217 Mark Whittaker with 65 Laps coming second was Brian Weijers with 63 Laps and Gary Osborne 152 third with 59 Laps

Quarter Final 4

The final quarter final was won by Ben Harding 471 with 66 Laps with Jonathan Goodacre coming second with 64 Laps and Steve Wearing 99 third with 61 Laps

Semi Final 1

Top 3 through to the English Open Final with the qualifiers being Mark Whittaker, Jody Foster and Brian Weijers all 3 drivers separated by one lap

Semi Final 2

Again the top 3 going through to the Final and the drivers qualifying were Maikel Rutten, Lee Wearing and Jonathan Goodacre.

Final

The big final was an excellent race to watch with all 6 drivers going round very quickly in a keenly contested English Open Final the results were:
