The annual running of the championship was held in the Netherlands at Rosmalen who made us all very welcome. The defending champion was Johann Van Zoogel who was looking to defend the title on his home track
There were 12 Heats per Round with all drivers getting 3 Heats with the best 2 to count.
Round 1
With lots of close racing and the track being in superb condition positions were always going to be tight but several drivers got 47 Laps including Scott Grocock, Jeroen Janssen and Simon Farrer but drivers with 48 Laps included Johann Van Zoogel and Roy Watson
Round 2
Times were getting faster with drivers getting used to the track Drivers getting 48 Laps included Jody Foster and Ruud Westerveld with lots of drivers with 47 Laps including Jeroen Janssen, Scott Grocock, Roy Watson and Brian Weijers
Round 3
All to play for in this Heat with the top 24 drivers qualifying the top laps for the round including Marco Schouten and Sanders Poels with other drivers 47 Laps were Maikel Rutten, Camiel Dodemont and Jonathan Goodacre putting in excellent laps.
The top 24 were now calculated into 4 quarter finals
Quarter Final 1
This race was won by Marco Schouten with it close for the other 2 qualifying positions with Brian Weijers and Simon Farrer going through but Jonathan Goodacre was knocked out on split time.
Quarter Final 2
The next race was even closer with Ben Harding and Jody Foster getting 60 Laps with Johann Van Zoogel squeezing through ahead of Scott Grocock on 59 Laps
Quarter Final 3
Another close race with Maikel Rutten winning with 60 Laps with Roy Watson and Michel Berendsen getting 59 Laps
Quarter Final 4
The final quarter final brought a win for Jeroen Janssen with Sanders Poels and Roy Mosman also going through to the Semi Finals
Semi Final 1
An action packed first semi final with lots of close racing but with only 3 drivers going through it was always going to difficult to split such good drivers but Brian Weijers, Jody Foster and Marco Schouten qualifying for the World Final
Semi Final 2
A similar close race in this one with 5 drivers been separated by 2 Laps but going through was Maikel Rutten, Sandors Poels and Roy Mosman with Roy Watson a very close 4th
World Final
The six drivers set off in the quest for the gold roof and what a fantastic World Final with all drivers separated by 4 Laps a true testament and an excellent stock car race the positions were:
1) Brian Weijers - 61 Laps
2) Sandors Poels - 60 Laps
3) Roy Mosman - 60 Laps
4) Marco Schouten - 59 Laps
5) Jody Foster - 59 Laps
6) Maikel Rutten - 57 Laps
