The 1st round was held in sunny and dry conditions at Notts + Derby 31 Drivers were in the pits in ideal conditions with the track in good condition it was going to be an excellent days racing.
After the 4 rounds of Heats the top 2 drivers were seeded straight through to the final which was Jody Foster and Ben Harding with the next 12 drivers been separated into 2 Semi Finals
2nd - Roy Watson - 63 Laps
3rd - Ben Harding - 62 Laps
4th - Dick Batty - 60 Laps
5th - Scott Grocock - 56 Laps
6th - Tony Nevin - 47 Laps

Heat 1
With some really good racing the results were quite close with Ben Harding doing 53 Laps, Jody Foster doing 52 with Roy Watson , Scott Grocock and Dick Batty all doing 51 Laps.Heat 2
Ben again put in a very fast race but Roy Watson joined him with top laps for the round with 51 Laps with a host of drivers on 50 Laps including Notts regular Tony Nevin, Lee Wearing and Steve Wearing with other drivers on 49 LapsHeat 3
After a swap round of the heats included in a break for lunch Ben was again fastest with 52 with Jody Foster, Dick Batty and Scott Grocock all close behind on 51 Laps with other drivers on 50 Laps including Brisca Formula 1 Stock Car Driver John GouldHeat 4
More fast racing in Heat 4 as the weather continued been really good this time Jody Foster fastest with 52 Laps just clear of Scott and Simon Farrer on 51 Laps with 3 drivers on 50 Laps including Gary Osborne.After the 4 rounds of Heats the top 2 drivers were seeded straight through to the final which was Jody Foster and Ben Harding with the next 12 drivers been separated into 2 Semi Finals
Semi Finals
The drivers set off for the Semi Finals with some hard fast racing the drivers who qualified were Roy Watson who got 52 Laps, Scott Grocock with 51 Laps with Tony Nevin and Dick Batty both getting 49 Laps.Final
After a great days racing the final was simply superb hard fast and fair racing from all drivers but Scott Grocock was an early casualty with his car stalling but rejoined the race and did incredibly well but Tony Nevin's car developed a fault and had to retire from his 1st National Final.Final Results
